Mooovin on up!

So we're in the midst of selling the house and moving back downtown. It seems like less than 2 years ago (May 2004 to be exact), that we moved into McMansion El Hatton here in Felida. Gretchen and I had come to the realization that we just aren't new-house sort of people. Don't get me wrong, the place is aesthetically pleasing, but it has no soul.

We are looking forward to moving into the 1920s era home downtown Vancouver. We had been looking for two types of home: either a run-down place with good bones that we could renovate, or an old house that had been renovated. Lucky for us, we found the latter. The place is beautiful; a 1922 farmhouse that has been renovated as recently as 1999. Hardwood floors, can lights, all new plumbing, wiring, and most importantly; the sewer pipe is fine.

Thanks in advance to all the friends, family and students that are helping us move. Honestly, I am looking forward to moving in to the Hatton Hilton guest house for 10 days between houses. It will definitely be a respite from the packing/upacking rigamarole.
